The Sunday Traditional Latin Masses at St. Mary’s Church feature a schola-led Gregorian chant ordinary that varies according to the season or feast. Notation for these ordinaries may be found in the two most widespread handmissals currently available: the Roman Catholic Daily Missal (Angelus Press) and The Daily Missal and Liturgical Manual (Baronius Press).

Novus Ordo (Ordinary Form)

Novus Ordo (Ordinary Form) Vespers is sung in English on selected Friday evenings from September to April after the version found in The Mundelein Psalter.

Traditional Latin (Extraordinary Form)

Traditional Latin (Extraordinary Form) Vespers is sung on the last Friday of each month at 4:30 PM from the book Vespers with Gregorian Chant for Sundays and Holy Days. A family-friendly potluck is held in the gym immediately afterward, starting around 5:15 PM.

The Ladies of Divine Mercy sing Vespers from the Little Office of the Blessed Virgin Mary on selected Friday evenings from September to April.

Seasonal Marian Antiphons

The Roman Rite assigns four Marian antiphons to different seasons of the year. These are customarily sung after the end of Compline (Night Prayer), but they may also be sung after Mass and other hours of the Divine Office.

Currently the simple versions of each seasonal Marian antiphon are sung after the Sunday 7:30 AM TLM (if sung or solemn) and at the close of Vespers.

Christmas Eve Carol Sing

Starting in 2019, a Christmas Eve Carol sing will take place at 3:00 PM, before the 4:00 PM Christmas Vigil Mass.
